 I learned so much about creating distinct contours and shapes in my watercolor work by building up layers of luminous pigment into distinct fault lines.
       
     
 In some ways, I felt like I was returning to a way of painting (watercolor) that most artists neglect after they've "moved on" to more flashy methods. It was so refreshing to explore new ways of incorporating watercolor into my repertoire as an arti
